I think the comment "most of your readers aren't bloggers" indicates that he dislikes it when blogs that are not about blogging make meta-blogging posts. But I don't think he made this clear at all and in the end, it sounded like he was talking about meta-blogs as a whole. The most ironic thing is that Coding Horror is supposed to be about programming and there he was making a meta-blogging post ;). I think Jeff mangled what he was trying to say a bit.
