One fine point I've received reading here is putting some humor in your message. People do love to be entertain. I will take this advise. My interest of writing is within the legal industry and this might sort of loosen the tension in the business a bit.

You are right Jeremy. A conversational and friendly tone can do wonders with regards to your blog audience. People are attracted more to those who humbly admit their mistakes than to those 'holier than thou' types who pretend that they are perfect.

Getting people to listen is a big problem for me. I'm a person with a simple, straight mind. Everything is bits and bytes and math to me (Big computer nerd), hardly any creativity whatsoever. Therefore, I'm a bit boring.

However, one thing I have found very useful when trying to get people's attention is to admit when you've made a big mistake. I suppose it helps when you know the person who wrote something actually is a human, and isn't just a robot typing on a keyboard.

When you light a bulb in a reader’s mind and connect missing dots for him, he will exclaim, "Hey, this is exactly what I have been thinking!" Congratulations! This guy is always going to trust your words.

The feeling I had towards your writing after reading that is proof. After I saw that you could readily explain the different parts of interesting content - this guy is going to trust you. ;)
