I hear it a lot "choose the right book" what do people really mean by that? What is good vs bad? For me, I am a techy guy, so I read technical literature vs non/fictional. 99.9% of the books I read are all computer related, therefore I don't gain the confidence that people speak off, but on the other hand, I gain the knowledge that others don't. In fact it helps me stay on the track with my career in computer science, but it hasn't helped me tackle my self confidence. I choose to be smarter, that is why I am here trying to improve this ever ending process. How can I choose the right book for me? I want to get smarter, retain the information that I read and most importantly comprehend. Btw... kudos.

Just wondering.....whats your IQ?

Reading does expand the mind...but in our now 21st century, its hard to find time to read for enjoyment...esp. if your working, in college- taking hard courses and taking care of a family.. Would you recommend any books for pure interactive, knowledge-based enjoyment?
